Live music with Tángalo Quintet & Duo Ramirez-Satorre!

DJ Anthony Miller

In what is a rare treat for Australian tango dancers, Tángalo and Duo-Ramírez Satorre will join forces to create a 7 piece live tango orchestra for dancing. Multiple bandoneons will grace the stage as the two groups re-create the classic sound of the Buenos Aires nightlife.

The Grammy-Nominated Duo Ramírez-Satorre are masters of their craft, capturing the essence of the Argentine spirit with their interpretations of classic and contemporary repertoire. Featuring Hugo Satorre on bandoneon and Adrian Ramírez on guitar, the duo have recently completed a new album, the Latin-Grammy nominated ‘Piazzolla de Camera’.

Fresh from their successful tour in Buenos Aires, the international capital of tango, Tángalo are full of tango fire and ready to thrill. Featuring bandoneon, flute, guitar, violin, double-bass, piano and vocals, the group is known for their refined and highly danceable sound.

Don’t miss this opportunity to dance to one of the largest orchestras ever to perform in Australian milongas!

Musicality Workshop organised by Tango Synergy and Tangalo!

Time: 7.30pm -  8.45pm

Venue: Russian Nights Restaurant (on same night prior to Milonga)

Held to be one of the finest qualities of a good tango dancer, musicality is the missing ingredient that turns the stunning into the sublime. Argentine maestro of the bandoneon, Hugo Satorre, and members of Tángalo, will be taking a workshop in tango musicality for dancers.

This is a chance to learn from a master of musical craft how to listen with fresh ears to the music that you love to dance to
