Vanina is referring to the presence and connection that tango dancers should aim to achieve in their dance.     

1Note that in Spanish the expression "media naranja" (translated as "half of an orange") can also be used, metaphorically speaking, to mean "soulmate", so it's a very apt metaphor to use!
