Sharing this quote from renowned psychologist Victor Frankl which he was  using in a psychological context, and is now supported by the findings of research into neuroscience.

This wisdom also relates to the context of dancing tango. We can choose how to react in tango. When dancing tango we need to constantly monitor ourselves - how our head aligns with our spine; whether our frame is elegant and stable;  where our weight is on our standing foot; where our hip is in relationship to our standing foot; where our chest is in relationship to our partner and so forth. We also need to constantly monitor how we are connecting to our partner and the music.

In all of these aspects of our dance we have the choice to react to the response of the music, our partner, and others on the dance floor in the way we choose.

The better our technique and mastery of the dance, the greater range of choices we have, and the better we are able to respond to all the stimuli that encompass tango.
